Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall sponsored, and a majority of Council passed, a resolution with widespread ramifications. It says in part that Atlanta police “shall not arrest, detain, extend the detention of, transfer custody of, or transport anyone solely on the basis of an immigration detainer or an administrative immigration warrant, including an administrative immigration warrant in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.” This dramatically undermines law enforcement, especially the battle against criminal illegal alien gangs that operate inside city limits.
