Legendary former University of Georgia football coach Vince Dooley received one of the highest honors of his career this week when it was announced that the school would be naming its football field after him. Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium is expected to be approved by the Board of Regents this month, and be officially presented at UGA’s home opener against Murray State on September 7th. Dooley said he was honored by the naming, and the move received praise from another pair of high profile Bulldogs – former running back Herschel Walker and Gov. Brian Kemp. Proposed Fulton Co. property tax hike
Fulton County homeowners let out a collective groan Monday following the announcement that property taxes will be increasing by more than 12% over the rollback millage rate.
