Legendary former University of Georgia football coach Vince Dooley received one of the highest honors of his career this week when it was announced that the school would be naming its football field after him.  Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium is expected to be approved by the Board of Regents this month, and be officially presented at UGA’s home opener against Murray State on September 7th.  Dooley said he was honored by the naming, and the move received praise from another pair of high profile Bulldogs – former running back Herschel Walker and Gov. Brian Kemp.  The Dooley name is no stranger on UGA’s campus, but to attach permanently to one of the nation’s most historic stadiums has the coach’s ship RISING…
