As if Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms didn’t have enough on her plate – over the weekend the city’s homeless population announced that it had unionized, and would be protesting in front of City Hall until their demands were met. Those demands include housing, healthcare, and a “seat at the table,” though details were scant as to how they might be met. On Monday seven ATL Homeless Union protesters were arrested outside City Hall and the crowd quickly dispersed, though union “officials” pledged to return later in the week.
