Three Peach State universities are listed among the top 100 universities worldwide for the number of American utility patents granted in 2014. Georgia Tech ranked 25th (78 patents), Emory University ranked 58th (35 patents) and the University of Georgia Research Foundation ranked 73rd (30 patents).
