Through a partnership between the University System of Georgia and the Technical College System of Georgia, the newly created Georgia Film Academy promises to further bolster the state’s booming film industry by providing a larger local talent pool of production staff.  In August it was announced that Jeff Stepakoff, a tenured professor of film and television writing at Kennesaw State, will be the Film Academy’s first executive director.  Much work remains in term of getting the Georgia Film Academy off the ground, (like for example a physical campus) but under Stepakoff’s leadership the state’s film industry is still RISING…
