Gregory the Great
The Roman Catholic archbishop of Atlanta has put to instructive use the Christian precept of admitting wrongdoing. He has taken recent criticism of him to heart and decided to sell his $2.2 million Buckhead mansion. We can understand the misunderstanding: Archbishop Wilton Gregory figured he needed to match social status with some of the influential people in the Atlanta Catholic community by living in his Tudor-style home. But the appearance of opulence compelled him to do the right thing, put it up for sale, and that’s why the good man is RISING in the news.
