Say It Ain’t So, Hank
A day after praising Hank Aaron, we have to shake our heads in disappointment. In a newspaper interview, the Hammer seemed to equate (all?) Republicans with the Ku Klux Klan. Aaron grew up in an era of horrid racial prejudice, and he got lots of racist hate mail as he chased Babe Ruth’s home run record, so we can understand his sensitivity on the subject of racism. But painting vast numbers of people with such a generalization is bigotry in its own right. DRIFTING.
