Georgia Democrats Seek to Raise State Minimum Wage
State Senator Donzella James (D) and State Representative Tyrone Brooks (D) have proposed raising the state’s minimum wage to $10.10/hr and $15.00/hr, respectively. Despite strong support among state Democrats, no Republican support is expected for either piece of legislation and even if they passed the General Assembly, a gubernatorial veto is likely.
