Last Wednesday, the White House announced a presidential visit for Tuesday, March 10th that will include a speech in midtown at Georgia Tech and a DNC fundraiser later that night.  President Obama last visited Atlanta in September during the Ebola outbreak.

The festivities on Tuesday will precede the Southern tour the President’s staff has planned that includes a speech in Selma, Alabama on Saturday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the historic civil right’s event.  Georgia Congressman John Lewis (D), a veteran of the Civil Rights Movement who marched in Selma half a century ago, will bring along over 100 other congressmen and women to the event.

If you’re planning on having to drive anywhere near the Tech campus on Tuesday, consider yourself warned.
