Approximately 200 supporters crowded into a ballroom at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in the Buckhead section of Atlanta on Monday afternoon to see and be seen with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a potential Republican presidential candidate. He recited a litany of reform proposals, including repealing and replacing Obamacare, but his biggest applause lines came when he called for the elimination of the radical Islamic ISIS militia, for support of Israel and for denying Iran nuclear weapon capability. Perhaps a dozen Georgia state lawmakers were in attendance, although many are attending a state Chamber of Commerce conclave this week on St. Simons Island.
On Monday evening Walker attended a high-donor Atlanta event but, as this is written, it hasn’t been reported how much money was raised. The “Our American Revival” organization sponsored his trip, and Walker announced that his official presidential decision would be made near the end of June or early July.
