Announcement by the respected organization that various areas in Atlanta, Sandy Springs and Roswell are rated “Number Five” in the United States as ‘The Hottest Real Estate Markets in 2016” is welcomed news. It signals, at least in this area, a return to normalcy after the 2007-08 bursting of the real estate bubble.

Fortune magazine reports on this analysis by chief economist Jonathan Smoke. It quotes him as saying this Georgia market “is poised for a for substantial growth in prices and sales” next year. He looked at which markets are seeing 60% more listing page views than the national average, and the inventory of which is moving 16 days faster than the national average.
