Georgia and South Carolina are teaming up to replace bridges over the Savannah River and the Augusta Canal on Interstate 20, and add lanes on I-20 to Exit 1 in South Carolina.
Gov. Nathan Deal announced the partnership with South Carolina yesterday for an estimated $75 million project to enhance safety and operations on both sides of the Savannah River.
