U.S. Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga., in a wide-ranging interview yesterday with InsiderAdvantage Georgia and other Atlanta media outlets, declared that “the United States faces two crises in the world”— a “global security crisis” and a “debt crisis.”

While commenting that the country is involved in a continuing “a war against terrorism” whether “we like it or not,” the former CEO of the Reebok and Dollar General companies who took office in 2015 fears “we don’t have enough money to replenish our military.” He lamented: “We are losing,” as he shifted gears to explain why he likes “the national security approach of Donald Trump as opposed to the approach of Hillary Clinton.” In further commenting on the presidential campaign, he said “the future Supreme Court is a major issue” and another major reason why he supports GOP nominee Trump. Clinton, he said, “would appoint liberal justices.”
