Yesterday we published news that state Rep. Jeff Jones, R-Brunswick, will introduce wire transfer fee legislation seeking to tap into the huge amount of money that is sent out of Georgia every year– a majority of that money, by the way, coming from drug dealers and people here illegally.
It is a small, refundable fee on funds wired out of Georgia that taxpayers can easily recoup on their state tax return.
What wasn’t specified in the Forum piece yesterday, however, is that the refundable fee would apply to individuals only, not to corporations.
