Atlanta attorney and businessman Matt Towery, who is chairman of the board of InsiderAdvantage Georgia, was inducted into the Stetson University College of Law’s Hall of Fame at a campus ceremony last Saturday.

After graduating from Cambridge University, the Atlanta native attended the Florida university’s College of Law and graduated cum laude in 1987. Towery returned to Atlanta where he established a law firm, ultimately absorbed by Holland & Knight. He has served as counsel on mergers and acquisitions, as well as for corporate crisis management. He is currently of counsel with the Atlanta office of Hall Booth Smith and chairs its government affairs and public policy practice.

He was the 1990 Georgia Republican Party nominee for lieutenant governor of Georgia and was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives, serving from 1993 to 1997.  Towery also served as the political chairman for U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich in the 1990s.

Towery was CEO of his family company Color Graphics. When sold, it was at the time the largest sheet-fed printing company in the Southeast. He founded InsiderAdvantage Georgia 12 years ago and has authored several best-selling books, his latest being “Newsvesting: Use News and Opinion to Grow Your Personal Wealth.” This election year Towery serves as the political analyst for numerous Fox affiliates around the country including Fox5Atlanta WAGA-TV, Fox13 in Tampa and Fox35 in Orlando, Florida.
