Georgians will see on their Nov. 8 ballot, below the U.S. Senate contest, a statewide Public Service Commission (PSC) election between Republican Party incumbent Tim Echols and Libertarian Party candidate Eric Hoskins.  The PSC affects every Georgians’ wallet, particularly since it oversees the state’s utilities and members must study and vote on utility rate hike requests. Last Sunday’s Atlanta Press Club debate features questions of the candidates ranging from their views on the construction of two new nuclear units at Plant Vogtle near Waynesboro to the expansion of the state’s renewable energy portfolio.
