After some weeks of waiting, it’s official, former Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue has been picked by the Trump administration to lead the Department of Agriculture. According to the agricultural information services provider DTN/The Progressive Farmer, not since Franklin Roosevelt has the appointment for Agriculture Secretary taken this long – and when FDR took office in 1933, the inauguration was in March.
