InsiderAdvantage Georgia this week got a sneak peak at the ongoing construction in and around Cobb County’s new 60-acre SunTrust stadium and mixed-use complex, courtesy of County Commissioner Bob Ott. As you can see from the picture, the Atlanta Braves banners have just arrived and are being hung around the stadium.
The special grass for the ball field will be arriving in early March for planting and almost everything should be completed by opening day, April 13, for the Braves-San Diego Padres game.
We are also told by the Braves President of Development Mike Plant that something very special will be available for baseball fans of all ages. If you want to try to catch a ball in the stands, you can go to a kiosk and get a glove, on loan, to use during the game.
And, for children, there is going to be a first-class “kids area” with all sorts of games and entertainment. Indeed, be assured the whole estimated $672 million ballpark and surrounding complex is first-class.
