Sometimes a single word is all it takes. Ask Karen Handel the biggest difference maker in her and her opponent in the June 20 runoff for the 6th Congressional District seat, and she will give you one word — “experience.”

And by that she means life experience and career experience.

Handel, Georgia’s former secretary of state, hopes to become Georgia’s first Congresswoman from Georgia in the June 20 runoff. She is running for the seat that seven-termer Tom Price, M.D., vacated to become President Donald Trump’s Health and Human Services secretary. Former House speaker Newt Gingrich also held this seat at one time. Handel is in a runoff with Democrat Jon Ossoff — early voting started yesterday.
