Tuesday night’s 6th District U.S. Congressional District special election runoff debate on WSB-TV between Republican Karen Handel and Democrat Jon Ossoff featured a wide range of issues: foreign policy (especially fighting terrorism and the Iranian nuclear threat); domestic policy (especially costly Obamacare– with Ossof for it and Handel for repealing and replacing); and local issues like more and better infrastructure to address transportation needs (both are for it).
The debate gave some new information to voters, but issues like Handel’s attack on Ossoff’s residency (he lives outside the district) and Ossoff’s attacks on her time working at the Susan G. Koman foundation perhaps drew the most back-and-forth.
