Secretary of State Brian Kemp is making a pledge to put Georgian’s first as he kicks off his campaign for Governor. He tells InsiderAdvantage that he believes the citizens of Georgia “are looking for someone to fight for them, to put them first.”
Kemp was the first high-profile Republican to announce his intentions to join the race to replace current Governor Nathan Deal, who is finishing up his second term and is now term-limited.
“As a State Senator, I fought to cut fees, taxes, and mandates on job creators,” said Kemp, 53, of Athens. “As Secretary of State, I have fought the the Obama Justice Department, and I have fought for the integrity of our elections. Now I am ready to fight for all Georgians as their next Governor.
