A new poll released this afternoon by Opinion Savvy for Fox 5 shows 6th Congressional District candidates Karen Handel and John Ossoff locked in a virtual tie just days before the election.

The Democrat Ossoff holds the slightest of leads at 49.7%, with Handel just behind at 49.4%.  The minuscule lead is well within the 4.2% margin of error.

64% of those polled told Opinion Savvy that they had already voted, a high number but one that makes sense considering the high early voting numbers we’ve seen in the election.  Of those who have not yet voted but who said they planned on doing so next Tuesday, a whopping 62% said they planned on voting for Handel.

President Donald Trump’s approval rating was also polled, and those results seemed to mirror the Congressional race.  Almost exactly 50% of voters approved of the job the President is doing vs 50% who disapprove.

Tuesday’s race figures to be a barn burner as expected, where get-out-the-vote efforts may play a deciding role in which side emerges victorious.  Look for InsiderAdvantage coverage next week as we bring you the results as they come in and break down the numbers following the race.
