Utilities Did Exceptional Job Restoring Electricity

The Georgia Power Co., Georgia EMC and crews from other states, even some from as far away as California, by all accounts did an exceptional job restoring electricity to every Georgia county hit by Hurricane Irma’s destructive winds and rain. Georgia Power alone had over 6,000 people working virtually non-stop on restoring power all last week. By this past weekend, the state’s largest utility had restored over 95 percent of their customers’ electric power.
