Two Atlanta city contractors received their punishment last week for their roles in the Atlanta City Hall bribery scandal. Both E.R. Mitchell and Charles Richards received jail time for paying off unnamed city officials in exchange for contracts, with Mitchell getting 5 years and being ordered to pay $1.1 million in restitution. Proposed Fulton Co. property tax hike
Fulton County homeowners let out a collective groan Monday following the announcement that property taxes will be increasing by more than 12% over the rollback millage rate. The hike, per the over the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, is to increase funding for the 2025 General Fund.
