A Health Care Reform Task Force, led by Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and a handful of Senators from across the state, gathered in Rome Monday to listen to presentations from local, state, and national experts. The committee is tasked with evaluating solutions to reduce health care costs and improve access to primary and preventive care.

During the meeting at Berry College, members of the committee discussed a number of issues including workforce development, primary and preventative care availability, and challenges faced by both physicians and nurses in providing quality care to patients statewide.
