The city of Atlanta in recent years has become what is now known as the Hollywood of the South, but what many don’t know is that the city is also home to one of the nation’s top music scenes. While many people assume that Atlanta is limited to being the epicenter of the hip-hop industry, it is actually the singer/songwriter genre that has begun to take over in recent years.
Decatur is home to one of the city’s most unique and enjoyable concert venues, Eddie’s Attic. The music club over the years has given young local artists an opportunity to showcase their talents to local fans in what has become known as “Open Mic.”
