Thursday opened up at the Capitol with word that the House would take up an amended adoption bill after the Senate’s passage recently of its version of the bill. The Senate was scheduled to reconvene shortly after the House with the idea being to take action on the by-then House passed compromise bill. The House took up the bill in the afternoon and Rep. Bert Reeves (R- 34 Marietta) took to the well to speak in its favor and lay out the new changes.
