A water main break on Buford Highway in DeKalb County yesterday shut down the surrounding area and forced many local businesses and schools to close for the day for lack of water.  Another infrastructure issue for the county isn’t a total shocker, but that news was compounded with the announcement that county Watershed Management director Scott Towler was resigning after alleging that DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond had urged him to break several local and federal laws over the course of his job.  With all this coming just a week after the county’s board of commissioners voted to give themselves a 60% raise, it’s clear that with all this water DeKalb’s leadership is SINKING…
