Several rural school districts will soon be able to equip labs to help prepare students for high-demand career fields, and assist in growing the state’s workforce pool in these areas.
The Georgia Department of Education has awarded more than $1.1 million to Dougherty, McIntosh, Pierce, and Tift counties to support them in the implementation of 15 Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) labs. Each lab will provide immersive learning experiences in high-demand fields like healthcare sciences, mechatronics, distribution and logistics, film, and agriculture.
