On July 24th, a whopping nine weeks after the May 22nd primaries, Georgia voters will take to the polls once more to decide the who will win 18 runoff elections in a wide array of races up and down the ballot.

Readers are no doubt familiar with Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and Secretary of State Brian Kemp, who are in the midst of a heated battle for the Republican nomination for governor, but most of the races have a much lower profile.

State Sen. David Shafer and former state Rep. Geoff Duncan will square off for the GOP nomination for Lt. Governor, while state Rep. Brad Raffensperger and former Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle will do the same for Secretary of State.  Democrats Otha Thornton and Sid Chapman will duke it out for their party’s nomination for State School Superintendent.

Republican Karen Handel’s 6th Congressional District sees a pair of Dems still going at it – gun control activist Lucy McBath and businessman Kevin Abel, while Rob Woodall’s CD-7 has Carolyn Bordeaux and David Kim fighting to see which Democrat will have the right to fight an uphill battle in that Conservative district.

See the full list of runoffs – including those for judgeships – below.
