As the Republican candidates continue to bash each other during the primary runoff – some even having embarrassing secret recordings emerge – Stacey Abrams continues to travel across Georgia as part of the general election. On Wednesday in Atlanta, she held a town hall focused on public education.
Abrams has repeatedly hammered Republicans on what she believes is either their lack of interest or just poor policy regarding public education. Or, perhaps even more sinister, the third option she points out, the willful selling of public education to private groups more concerned about profit than about providing a good education.
