When looking at Georgia’s economy — specifically jobs, employment and the workforce — the last two years have been especially impressive, says Georgia Labor Commissioner Mark Butler. And 2018 should be no different.
“When looking back seven years, several things stood out,” said Butler. “Among those is the fact that Georgia’s economy exploded. The data shows that the state’s workforce expanded more in 2016 and 2017 than in the previous five years combined. Also, we saw more people join the workforce and become employed in 2016-2017 than in the previous five years combined.”
