Attorney Jason Thompson has been selected as the Republican National Committeeman for Georgia, filling the vacancy left by the resignation of Randy Evans. Members of the State Committee met August 18 to choose Evans’ replacement after was confirmed as the nation’s ambassador to Luxembourg. Thompson, Melvin Everson, and Chris West contended for the seat.
Thursday, Thompson took to Facebook and emails to thank Republicans for their confidence and support.
