Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, not blind to the fiasco surrounding her former ally and predecessor as mayor, started off her time in office pledging to be more transparent and open about all aspects of city business – particularly around the finances. Former Mayor Kasim Reed and various members of his administration are either still under investigation – several already under indictment – and it seems Bottoms aims to make sure the same will not happen with hers.
