Legislation passed Monday by the U.S. Senate combines more than 70 proposals — three of which were authored by Georgia’s U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson– and provides a multi-pronged approach to attack the opioid crisis across the country.

Isakson (R-Ga) today applauded the Senate passage of the Opioid Crisis Response Act of 2018, which is bipartisan, comprehensive legislation to improve the federal government’s response to the opioid epidemic. The passage came during “Prescription Opioid and Heroin Epidemic Awareness Week.”
