Georgia officials have spent a great deal of resources over the past couple of years combating the ongoing opioid crisis that has ravaged communities across the state. As part of that fight, the office of Attorney General Chris Carr has helped create a new website to give Georgians resources and tools to confront some of the issues individuals may be facing.
The ‘Dose of Reality’ site offers information about opioid abuse including the common types of pills, signs of addiction, safe storage tips, and resources for finding disposal locations. The site is based off a similar one created by the Wisconsin AG’s office, where it has proven a helpful tool for students, parents, educators, and more.
See Carr discuss the new site and how his office is doing their part in the ongoing fight against opioid abuse in this video from Metro Atlanta CEO HERE.
