The Tax Foundation released their 2019 State Business Tax Climate Index Wednesday, ranking Georgia at No. 8. Neighboring Florida ranked 6th in the corporate taxes category, and North Carolina ranked third.
The Tax Foundation is the nation’s leading independent tax policy nonprofit, and the Index is designed to show how well states structure their tax systems. The corporate tax component accounts for 19.5 percent of each state’s overall ranking. According to the report, Georgia ranked 33rd overall.
