Robocalls to cell phones have become a major issue nationwide over the past year or so. Where they were once only a problem on landlines, now Americans receive more than 4.4 billion robocalls a month, up 83% from last year. Fani Willis to skip Senate hearing
Attorneys for Fulton Co. District Attorney Fani Willis say she plans to ignore a pair of subpoenas and skip a scheduled Georgia Senate special committee hearing later today. The move will no doubt enrage GOP lawmakers and set up a courtroom battle, likely in the Georgia Court of Appeals over the legality of Legislature-ordered subpoenas, with Willis’ attorneys arguing they are void because they were issued after the 2024 legislative session.
