The latest estimates of the damage from Hurricane Michael continue to rise as the Georgia General Assembly prepares for an emergency session to help fund recovery efforts.  The estimate from Georgia Forestry Commission officials has doubled as they have surveyed the damage done to the state’s timber crop, now sitting at a shocking $762 million in losses.  Luckily both state and federal officials have been quick to come to the aid of Georgia farmers, but with this degree of devastation their ships remain DRIFTING…
