InsiderAdvantage recommends that readers log on to the website www.georgiavotes.com to see the latest early vote tallies before the Dec. 4th runoff election day. You’ll see that the majority of the turnout so far is made up of older and presumably Republican-leaning white voters.
As of last night, 116,753 people have voted early. At this point in the 2018 general (the final week of early voting), that number was 317,467. The numbers reveal about three-quarters of people casting early votes are white and around half are over 65. Unlike during the early voting before the Nov. 6th general election, a large Democrat early vote is not materializing– especially in metro Atlanta. That doesn’t bode well for John Barrow and Lindy Miller, the Democrat candidates for secretary of state and Public Service Commission.
