Readers may have noticed Washington is a tense place these days. Some things still bring out bipartisanship – usually humongous spending bills that must get passed (like a defense, or in this case, farm). In that vein, Senator David Perdue (R-GA) and Representative David Scott (D-GA 13), both members of the Bipartisan Congressional Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Caucus announced they have secured funding in the 2018 Farm Bill for agriculture-focused scholarships at Historically Black Land-Grant Colleges and Universities.
