A day after President Donald Trump officially kicked off his reelection campaign in Florida, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced the date of Georgia’s presidential primary.  Due to the process of purchasing and setting up new voting machines, Georgia will not participate in Super Tuesday in early March as it has in recent cycles, but instead will hold its primaries on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.  Some pundits say that the later date will lessen Georgia’s impact in the crowded Democratic primary but others, such as Georgia Democratic Party Chair State Sen. Nikema Williams, are pleased with the move, as the state will likely be the only primary that week, increasing its relevance.  From our perspective, standing out from the crowd will make Georgia’s 129 delegates all the more important – so the Raffensperger’s move has the ship RISING…
