As Georgia continues to grow, so does its need for “stuff.”  And how does “stuff” get around?  Well, by train, truck, plane, or ship – that’s freight logistics.

Enter the Georgia Commission on Freight & Logistics, a new joint study commission put together by the General Assembly that will travel throughout the state starting this month to study how best to provide safe and efficient freight logistics to an ever-growing state.

Craig Camuso, regional VP for State Government Affairs for CSX Transportation, sat down with Georgia CEO this week to discuss the important role that freight logistics has on the state’s economy, and how the new commission will study and approach the issue to make sure Georgia stays on the cutting edge heading into the 2020’s.
