The latest in a long series of scandals and questionable decisions from the administration of former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed was unveiled Monday, as news broke that former First Lady Langford Reed had a 2016 car wreck in a city-owned vehicle swept under the rug. Langford Reed – who has since filed for divorce – was not a city employee nor authorized to driving a city vehicle when she wrecked the Ford Explorer in Midtown Atlanta, causing more than $16,000 in damages. That accident was never disclosed publicly, and observers are none to pleased that taxpayer dollars went to getting the vehicle fixed. The Atlanta Falcons have not made the playoffs since the 2017 season, an eon in football terms, but hope springs eternal for the franchise as it is projected to win its division behind new star quarterback Kirk Cousins and new Head Coach Raheem Morris.
