Gov. Brian Kemp continues to put his stamp on state government by appointing five members to the University System of Georgia Board of Regents, which oversees 26 taxpayer-supported colleges and universities. The new at-large Regents are Cade Joiner and T. Dallas Smith. They will serve with Harold Reynolds representing the 10th Congressional District, Everett Kennedy representing the 12th Congressional District and Lowery May representing the 14th Congressional District. All have worked with the governor in some capacity in the past and hopefully will bring new energy and vision to the 19-member board. RISING…
U.S. Justice official: Willis case ‘is disgusting’
A new undercover video from journalist Steven Louder revealed Nicholas Biase, the U.S. Justice Department’s public affairs chief, calling New York City charges brought against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump a “travesty of justice,” adding this was why Trump is surging in the polls. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg got Trump convicted for falsifying business records. But Biase says the Democrat DA “was stacking charges … just to make it fit a case. I think the case (against Trump) is nonsense.” Addressing the election case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, Biase said: “It’s a mockery of justice. She is a joke. Like, her and her boyfriend she was seeing, the whole thing is disgusting. And they’re just out to get [Trump].” SINKING…
