Valdosta Mayor Scott James Matheson recently had ethics charges leveled against him for hosting a politically conservative radio talk show, something his critics said were violating city ethics rules. The city’s ethics board however disagreed, voting 2-1 to dismiss the complaint, saying Matheson’s political speech was protected by the First Amendment. Proposed Fulton Co. property tax hike
Fulton County homeowners let out a collective groan Monday following the announcement that property taxes will be increasing by more than 12% over the rollback millage rate.
