Atlanta’s newest park is finally here, as city officials gathered this week to celebrate the opening of Rodney Cook Sr. Park in Atlanta’s Westside. The state of the art park, which doubles as a stormwater runoff reservoir, is named after Atlanta Alderman, state Representative and civil rights advocate, Rodney Cook Sr. It features monuments to key Atlanta figures such as the late Rep. Proposed Fulton Co. property tax hike
Fulton County homeowners let out a collective groan Monday following the announcement that property taxes will be increasing by more than 12% over the rollback millage rate. The hike, per the over the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, is to increase funding for the 2025 General Fund.
