Atlanta-based Delta Airlines, along with several other major U.S. airlines, will help transport evacuees from Afghanistan in coming days as part of the Civil Reserve Air Fleet program, which can call on commercial planes to aid in supporting military operations by transporting troops and other “at risk individuals.”.
