The Atlanta NAACP rarely weighs in on political races, but Wednesday chapter President Richard Rose strongly denounced Atlanta mayoral candidate Kasim Reed, criticizing him for his work (or lack thereof) on affordable housing, relationship with law enforcement, mistreatment of HBCU’s, and allegations of corruption while mayor. Proposed Fulton Co. property tax hike
Fulton County homeowners let out a collective groan Monday following the announcement that property taxes will be increasing by more than 12% over the rollback millage rate. The hike, per the over the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, is to increase funding for the 2025 General Fund.
