Clayton County school officials are making it their mission to enroll more children in pre-kindergarten programs – pointing to it as a key indicator of future academic success.  Currently the school system has about 3,600 kindergarten students, but only about 1,000 in pre-K.  By using federal COVID-19 funding, among other sources, the county hopes it can expand its pre-K program and drive up enrollment.  Hopefully the effort will see Clayton’s pre-K numbers RISE…
